Sunday 25.7.

-         arrival, accommodation at Siikasalmi school
                Estonian group arrives by car in the evening, around 21.00
                Danish group arrives at 19.50  / Joensuu airport
                Lithuanian group arrives at 19.55 / Tampere airport – minibuss from there to  Liperi. Buss to Liperi takes app. 5 hours
-         dinner / snack when you arrive
-         get to know the Siikasalmi area and all the participants
-         evening program together  
 
Notice:
There are sheets, blankets etc. Take towels with you
Siikasalmi school is situated by a lake – don’t forget your swimming dress!
There is a washing machine for clothes at the accommodation place
 
Siikasalmi school is run by Adventists (a chirstian group) and they are on vegetarian diet as well as they do not drink coffee, they don’t smoke or use alcohol. This means, that our breakfast and lunch at Siikasalmi are also vegetarian, smoking is forbidden on the whole area –also out doors. I hope we all are able to respect their way of thinking. For those who smoke we’ll find a place outside of the Siikasalmi area. It means a little bit of walking, but I hope it will not be a problem for anyone of us.
 
Monday 26.7.
-         waking  up and breakfast (8.00-9.30)
-         at 9.30 at Siikasalmi school: Official opening of the Nordic Youth Meeting 2. We’ll discuss a little bit about the themes: the prejudices and voluntary work.  Process drama teacher Matilda Raninen is with us.
-         at 11.00 we leave to Pärnävaara by bus. There we’ll do some exercises in the nature: navigation by pictures, rock climbing (going down, not up) and football at a wet bog 
-         at 16.00 sauna (you’ll really need it after the football game!)
-         at 17.00 dinner at Pärnävaara
-         at 18 back to Liperi and Siikasalmi school
-         evening program: we’ll  do masks for the process drama (and some exercises with crates of soft drinks)
-         every group tells something of their own country / home place
 
Notice:
Take old warn up shoes for the football game, also other clothing will be really dirty 
We’ll wash up in sauna after the game – take a towel with you and clean clothes
May be I have to take my dog with me on Monday – my family is on a holiday trip and they’ll come back on Monday evening. If I have my dog with me I’ll travel by my own car so if anyone is allergic or is afraid of dogs she/he doesn’t need to worry.
 
Tuesday 27.7.
-         waking up and breakfast (8.00-9.30)
-         at 10.00 process drama work shop with Matilda Raninen. (If you want to study process drama in before hand just look at Wikipedia)
-         at 12 lunch
-         work shop continues
-         at 17.30 by bus to Käsämä where there is a ”fish soup evening” for those who have a summer cottage in Liperi. If the weather is nice there’ll be 300-400 people eating fish soup. The youth band “Inside” is playing during the evening.
-         at 20.00 back to Siikasalmi
-         Evening program: Finnolympics
 
Notice:
The place for process drama workshop is changed: we’ll do the drama at Siikasalmi school (there are some air problems in a former place)
 
Wednesday 28.7.
-         waking up and breakfast (8.00-9.30)
-         at 10.00 by bus to Käsämä:
-         at 10.30 walk and talk – 12,3 km trekking in a forest
-         at 15.15 dinner
-         at 16.00 by bus to Kuorinka camp centre: Sauna and out door plays
-         at 20.00 back to Siikasalmi by bus
 
Notice:
Take good shoes with you. The trekking path is good, but 12 km with bad shoes can be painful. Water bottle can be useful.
 
Thursday 29.7.
-         waking up and breakfast (8.00-9.30)
-         at 10.00 by bus to Valamo monastery (www.valamo.fi)
-         at 11.00 a guided tour in the monastery area
-         at 12.00 lunch
-         at 13.00-15.00 debate / discussion on the theme “Religions and prejudices”
-         at 15.30 handcraft (workshop)
-         at 17.00-19.00 a cruise on a canal through two sluice by the boat “Sergei”
-         at 19.00 tea table
-         at 20.00 back to Liperi and Siikasalmi
Notice:
Both men and women visitors at the monastery are expected to wear clothes that cover their knees and shoulders. Open or revealing dress is not suitable for a monastery.

Smoking is permitted only in the places set aside for this.

The inhabitants of the monastery should not be photographed without permission. The taking of photographs during services is prohibited, and flash may in any case only be used with written permission from the leader of the monastery.
 
It is hoped that women will cover their hair with a scarf during church services at the monastery. Men should always be bare-headed.
 
Friday 30.7.
-         waking up and breakfast (8.00-9.30)
-         at 10.00 art work shop with Hannele Kinnunen. We’ll do a mosaic work for youth club or school or some other public place.
-         at 12.00 lunch
-         work shop continues
-         at 17.00 dinner  in Liperi
-         evening program: karaoke and boat rowing
 
Saturday 31.7.
-         waking up and breakfast (8.00-9.30)
-         at 9.45 by bus to Honkalampi centre. It is a residence, rehabilitation and day time activity centre and school for people with learning difficulties /disabilities (people with down syndrome, autism etc) We’ll give them an “international greeting” (singing etc) and we’ll plant a tree together
-         at 11.00 by bus to Joensuu. Visit at the art museum, handcraft centre and riverbank
-         An International greeting to people of Joensuu at stage on market place 
-         free time for shopping
-         at 16.00 we’ll walk to Vainoniemi villa. It is situated by a lake only 2 km from the very centre of Joensuu. We’ll eat there and there will be also the official closing.
-         at 19.00 we’ll walk back to Joensuu centre – there’ll be a juggling gala at Joensuu Arena (starting at 20.00 - there will be a international juggling festival in Joensuu next week), live music at the party tent at 21.30 and a Fire show at 23.30. After that we’ll return back to Siikasalmi school
 
Notice:
We’ll make sandwiches and take fruits with us for the daytrip in Joensuu. With this kind of crib I hope we can survive until 5 o’clock when we’ll have a dinner at Vainoniemi villa. There are hamburger and kebab places in Joensuu if you want to eat there (by your own cost – prices are from 4-5 euro to 8-10 euro)
 
Sunday 1.8.
